2019 Destrehan Plantation's Annual Heritage Festival Children Art Demo
A Children's Art Table was held on April 30th, 2019.
Each year we prepare for 600+ students from 8 to 10 schools to visit our tables. The children will use graphite, watercolor, and/or oil pastels to create visual interpretations of their memories of the Historic re-enactments visited at the day's events. Their art will be displayed at the festival and then the children will then take home their artwork that day.
